Setting up the microphone is easy and takes less than a minute before class starts.
Tips for setting up the microphone:
when you turn on the transmitter, the light should turn green
place the lapel microphone on your shirt about 3-4 inches from your chin, in the middle – this placement will still pick up sound when you turn your head to the side
control the volume through the Crestron panel – see below for the system used in your classroom
where applicable, keep the microphone volume higher than source volume (e.g., from laptop) to help prevent feedback
be sure to turn off microphone when done and return to charger if applicable
Older Crestron system (most classrooms):
control the mic volume on the touch screen, and the source volume from the right hand buttons
turn off microphone when not using (rather than hitting mute button)
press projector button, then mic icon
if you have a system that is not rechargeable, it is helpful to bring 9V batteries with you
